Back in the saddle again…

Before I start….HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LISA!!! Lisa and I have been friends for a loooong time and I really miss her….oh, and she is one of my very faithful blog readers! By the time I had a chance to call tonight, I was worried I’d be waking up the boys, so I’ll call you tomorrow!!  :) Mwah….love you, Lisa!!!!!  And…just for good measure, I’m going to put this up because I remember how much you *loooove* me singing it to you! :)

Ok, now…about being back in the saddle. Today I found my mojo.  I hadn’t scrapped a digital layout since *gasp* August….and today I made a layout that I’m very proud of!  Also…I hadn’t done a totally paper-scrapping project since I dunno when…and today I made some composition notebooks with some rockin’ Heidi Grace stuff! I got a Hanukkah kit finished and put up in the store (after a spelling fiasco), and Lily & I also made some jewelry for Christmas presents! Look out, Martha and Rachel….Lily and I are taking over! ;)   So…here’s some pictures to prove that I really *was* as productive as I said….

Crafty Christmas Layout (showing off another project we did this weekend)

Here’s one of the notebooks we covered for my cousins for Christmas (I hope they don’t read my blog…I’m pretty sure that NONE of my family reads my blog, so I’m probably safe!

Here’s my Hanukkah (*not* Hannukah – don’t trust Wikipedia…it changes on a daily basis) Word Art Kit:

Here’s one of the necklaces Lily and I made today…she’s really enjoying making up the patterns! Her attention span usually only lasts about 3/8 of the way through a necklace and then I have to finish it…but it is still *so* fun making them with her! :)

So, here’s to another fun-filled day of sub-zero temps tomorrow….maybe I’ll get some more scrapping and crafting done!!! If it’s -3.5 degrees where you live, too….here are the McNally family’s ideas for staying warm and occupied when you’re stuck in the house: drink lots of hot chocolate (with the special Christmas marshmallows, sing Jingle Bell Rock by the tree while holding hands, eat sugarplums, go ice-skating, and finish up with snuggling! (Ok, so some of those are from the movie Elf…but we do lots of those things, too! ;)

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

I am sooo excited to show off these Christmas cards I helped design!! My friend and CT Member, Jenny Nelson, and I designed the cards using my Christmas Word Art and the Too Excited To Sleep Page Kit by Karah Fredricks! The kit rocks and the cards are soooo fun! Jenny Nelson (aka The Card-Making Master) totally rocked the house and inspired me to make a few to throw into the mix! :)

Check out the cards:

This preview does NOT do them justice…so click on it to see them up close in the shoppe! You can buy the whole pack for $5.50, or just choose the one you like and buy the 4×8 and 5×7 versions together for only $1.25 per design! Check out the Holiday/Seasonal section at Oscraps to find the individual cards.

I *have* to get my cards done and ordered this weekend!!!!!! I’m getting some of my cards at Minted….the one I designed, of course! (See my previous post for more info about that!) ;)

Here’s a peek at my Christmas Word Art:

Tomorrow, Lily and I are off to a cookie walk at my aunt’s church and then to my grandma’s house to make Christmas cookies! Lily is sooo excited and I hope to get some great pics! She is just sooo fun this year – it is truly a blessing to experience this season through her very twinkly, excited, sparkly little blue eyes! We used to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation over and over again….we’ve had to tone it down for four-year old ears…so Elf is our new fave at the moment! Here’s to watching Elf over and over again and drinking all the hot chocolate with marshmallows we can stand!

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?? Leave me a comment here and I’ll pick a few random numbers to win my Christmas word art! If you don’t celebrate Christmas, I’ll let you pick something else from my shoppe! :)
